NORFOLK, Neb. -- The city of Norfolk put out a press release on Monday announcing an open house to discuss its plans for annexation on Wednesday.
The announcement comes almost a week after numerous residents in the annexed areas came to the Norfolk Planning Commission to ask their questions and list their concerns about the plan. Unfortunately for those residents, many of their questions could not be answered during that meeting. However, many on the council informed those in attendance of the open house. The planning commission said their questions could be answered at the open house. The city has also published an FAQ document on their website, which provides some answers to the questions many residents have.
In the press release, the city says, "City staff, elected officials, and project consultants will be available to discuss the plan and answer questions. The Mayor and City Council of the City of Norfolk are invited to attend the meeting."
The meeting will take place at the Norfolk Public Library on August 25. It will start at 5:00 pm and end at 6:30 pm.
