New Nebraska tourism ads tout ‘fly-over country’
The Nebraska Tourism Commission’s “it’s not for everyone” campaign will hit out-of-state markets starting mid-January.

Nebraska’s new off-beat tourism slogan — “Honestly, it’s not for everyone” — is debuting in print and TV ads.

They tout the annual — and world-class — spring migration of sandhill cranes through the central Platte River Valley. If the Platte is good enough for 500,000 chattering cranes, shouldn’t tourists follow? “Nothing but fly-over country,” says an ad touting Nebraska from the State Tourism Commission.

The ads will run in out-of-state markets including Denver; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Kansas City; Wichita, Kansas; and Topeka, Kansas; from mid-January to mid-March.
