New charges filed against Plattsmouth sex offender

PLATTSMOUTH –  New allegations of sexual assault have surfaced against a Plattsmouth man serving time in prison for sexual assault of a child.

Jeffrey Faust, 34, is serving a two-year sentence for third degree sexual assault with 18 months post-release supervision. The new charges were filed after a girl interviewed Feb. 24  by Project Harmony described sexual touching as early as six years old at a Plattsmouth residence, as well as forced contact over a five-year period.

Faust said he made the plea to third degree sexual assault this fall to avoid a 25-year sentence he expected if convicted of first degree sexual assault. He has denied the new allegations, as well.
