New addition to Skyview Park aims to educate, bring joy

NORFOLK, Neb. -A $25,000 addition to Skyview Park in Norfolk is ready for use.

The Briggs & Barrett Project installed a musical playground at the Nursery of Hope Wednesday.

Community Outreach Director Emily Afrank said they hope to not only give back to the community but also to draw people in to educate them on the Briggs & Barrett project.

"A musical playground was brought up just because we understand the healing properties of music," said Afrank. "So that's what we wanted to add to the Nursery of Hope, a place to bring joy."

The playground is just one of many projects planned for the area.

Afrank said a slide, sandbox, and community library box might be in the works.
