Nasir leaving Omaha Symphony for Louisiana

OMAHA, Neb.  — The Omaha Symphony is losing a key figure.

Anwar Nasir, who is currently the chief revenue and advancement officer with the Omaha Symphony, is leaving to become the executive director for the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra in New Orleans.

He will begin his new job in the Pelican State on July 19.

Before coming to Nebraska, Nasir, originally from Philadelphia, held front-office positions with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Hollywood Bowl, the Atlanta Ballet, and the Philadelphia Workforce Development Corp.
