Motorist dies after crash in southwest Nebraska

INDIANOLA, Neb. (AP) — Authorities say a motorist died after a crash in southwestern Nebraska.

The McCook Gazette reported that the accident occurred around 8 a.m. Monday on a Red Willow County road about 4 miles south of Indianola.

The Red Willow County attorney, Paul Wood, said Johnathan Coburn, 19, of McCook, was southbound in his car when it crashed with a northbound pickup truck.

Coburn was killed, and Wood said the pickup driver was treated for injuries at the scene. His name wasn’t released.

The crash remains under investigation, authorities said.
