NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The purpose of public meetings in North Platte on Monday, July 19 at 10 a.m. is for review and recommendation regarding the application of Sustainable Beef LLC seeking grant funds to help facilitate the preliminary steps of a proposed $325 million project a beef processing plant seeking to locate in the city.
The grant application would seek matching funds from both the Northwestern Energy Economic Development Fund and the LB840 Quality Growth Fund.
In addition the City of North Platte Quality Growth Fund Citizens Review LB840 Committee will meet as the Northwestern Energy Economic Development Fund Committee that also includes a representative of Northwestern Energy.
After action is taken by both governmental entities, a separate agenda item will be held before the Quality Growth Fund Committee on the proposed industrial rail park development near Hershey. Other agenda items may be added.
The North Platte City offices will be the host site for the meeting at 211 West 3rd, North Platte.
