Man, 24, dies from injuries suffered in Waverly crash

A 24-year-old man has died after he and a passenger were injured in a single-vehicle, rollover crash last week in Waverly, Nebraska.
The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office said the crash occurred Thursday on U.S. Highway 6 just west of Deer Park Road in southwest Waverly.
The Sheriff's Office said a preliminary investigation found that Dylan Lang, the driver of an eastbound Mercury Mountaineer, lost control of his vehicle. It then entered the raised median and rolled several times. Lang was taken to Bryan West Medical Center campus in Lincoln with life-threatening injuries. Lang died at the hospital around noon Saturday, the Sheriff's Office said.
The passenger, Alyiah Parks, 16, of Lincoln, was taken to Bryan West with serious injuries.
The Sheriff's Office said it did not know Lang's hometown. The eastbound lanes of Highway 6 were closed for about three hours while the crash was investigated.
The Sheriff's Office said the people involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.
