LSO: Suspects steal $250K worth of construction equipment

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Police in eastern Nebraska say a quarter of a million dollars worth of construction equipment is missing.

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office says the theft happened late Thursday night from the South Beltway project site.

Sheriff Terry Wagner said the suspects first stole a lowboy trailer and two bulldozers.

Authorities say over the last few months, catalytic converters and GPS units have been stolen from work trucks on the construction site.
