LSO Finds Pot Stuffed in Teddy Bear

LINCOLN - Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies discovered four pounds of marijuana stuffed in a large teddy bear during a traffic stop on Tuesday. Deputies pulled over a 2016 Nissan Sentra at 1:16 p.m. heading eastbound near Mile Marker 394 west of Lincoln. Deputies smelled a strong smell of marijuana, and when searching the vehicle, found a "fairly large" teddy bear in the back of the car, authorities said. When officers cut the bear open, they found four pounds of vacuum sealed pot. Leon Chesney, 49, and Leon Chesney 26, of Oceanside, California, were inside the vehicle, and the older Chesney was cited and lodged in jail.
