Lincoln man stabbed in back after dispute

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Monday morning, police received a call about a stabbing at 14tha nd C Streets. 

The release says that when police arrived, they spoke to a 20-year-old man who said another man had assaulted and stabbed him in the back after a dispute around 1:30 a.m.

Police say the victim was transported by Lincoln Fire and Rescue to a local area hospital for the treatment of his injuries. 

Authorities say that the officers processed the scene for evidence and canvassed the area. 

Police say that the victim is still in the hospital in serious condition, but his injuries are not life-threatening. 

No arrested have been made at this time. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
