Lincoln child-care provider shut down

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services has issued an emergency order closing a southeast Lincoln child-care provider's business.
Kelli Eppenbach of Kelli’s Childcare, which is southwest of 27th Street and Nebraska Highway 2, cannot provide care for any children other than her own, state officials said. Eppenbach may request a hearing within 15 days of receiving the emergency order, officials said. The hearing is held within 10 days of the request, unless a continuance is granted.
Officials said they have notified parents of children enrolled in the child-care program of the situation. An emergency order is issued whenever officials find that an emergency exists requiring immediate action to protect the physical well-being and safety of a child in a child-care program.
