PROGRAM ALERT

Kimball library receives $1,000 grant

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) – Kimball Public Library is among the 24 libraries in the state receiving cash.

Library staff said they $1,000 and will use the money toward their internship program. The library internship provides a community member with a job allowing them to learn the ropes of working at the library.

“It gives us another person here which provides so much for the community again,” said Amber Sweetland Library director. We are able to have more children here for our summer reading program because we get this grant and we have an additional employee. We can provide more services to the community and the children which is what is so important to us.”

Public libraries in Morrill, Bayard, and Bridgeport are also receiving grants.
