Kimball, Creek Valley to celebrate graduates with cruise

KIMBALL & CHAPPELL, NE — Two Panhandle school districts are honoring their high school seniors this Friday.

Creek Valley and Kimball Public Schools are hosting cruise nights on Friday, May 7 with special activities planned for the Storm and Longhorn classes of 2021. 

Kimball’s cruise night last from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A senior showcase will kick off the evening at 6:00. Friends and family are invited to find a parking spot along Highway 30 in town for the graduating class. 

Creek Valley’s seniors will take part in a senior send off in Chappell at the same time. Chappell’s cruise lasts from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday. Cruisers are invited to wave at the seniors who will be in the Creek Valley High School parking lot from 6:00-6:30. Then the graduating class will join in on the drive along Highway 30. 

Both schools held similar events in 2020 as school districts across the nation found unique ways to honor their seniors at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
