Hy-Vee no longer requiring masks for vaccinated customers

Vaccinated Nebraskans can go mask-free in Hy-Vee.

The grocer announced that beginning Tuesday, they will no longer require fully vaccinated customers and employees to wear face coverings in stores.

Hy-Vee is the latest in a number of retailers to announce the move. Target has said it will no longer be requiring masks for vaccinated folks either.

Hy-Vee says they are still recommending face coverings for those who aren't vaccinated. They say that any local mask ordinances would still apply, as well. That means shoppers in Lincoln and Omaha still need to mask up in the store for now.
