Hoskins man arrested for violating protection order with texts, letter

NORFOLK, Neb. — A Hoskins man is in jail after allegedly violating a protection order.

On April 20th, 26-year-old Jared W. Kirby was reported to have contacted a female victim, with whom he was ordered to have no contact.

The victim reported to Norfolk Police that she had received multiple text messages and Facebook messages from Kirby between April 16 and April 19. She also reported receiving a hand-written letter.

Officers made contact with Kirby on Saturday before arresting him for violating the protection order. He was house in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
