Homeless man arrested on multiple charges in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Neb. — A homeless man who was found yelling at people on Norfolk Avenue was arrested on an active warrant Tuesday.

Norfolk Police were called to the 100 block of E. Norfolk Avenue early Tuesday regarding a report of a suspicious person.

39-year-old Curtis Wright had been discovered sleeping in front of a business. Upon waking, witnesses reported Wright yelling as passersby.

Police discovered he had an active arrest warrant in Madison County, and he was taken into custody. In a subsequent search, officers located a small bag of methamphetamine and a syringe.

He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
