Homeless man arrested for meth, outstanding warrant

NORFOLK, Neb. -- An attempt to serve an arrest warrant resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine over the weekend.

On Friday night, Norfolk Police were called to the 200 block to serve a Madison County arrest warrant on a 35-year-old homeless man.

After placing him in custody, the man was searched and officers located a small baggie of methamphetamine.

The man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. He was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
