Heritage of Bel-Air puts on special car parade for residents

NORFOLK, Neb — Norfolk residents found a creative way to celebrate some area seniors on Monday.

The residents of the Heritage of Bel-Air sat outside to enjoy local families driving through the lot. One family even rode through on a boat.

The event was prepared by the Heritage of Bel-Air staff who wanted to give the residents a chance to get outside and see some familiar faces.

The residents said they were happy to see how many people showed up to show their support.

“It always makes us feel good any time anyone does anything extra,” Heritage resident Lucille Gesell said.

Trisha Benton with the Heritage of Bel-Air said the parade was a special way to kick off Nursing Home Week.

She said the parade last summer helped them to prepare for this year’s special event for the residents.
