Heavy Rains Cause Flooding Throughout Nebraska
Several counties throughout Nebraska have seen flooding over the past few days.
NEBRASKA - Severe flooding took its toll throughout Nebraska on Monday. The National Weather Service reported twenty-four hour rain totals anywhere between two to six inches for many parts of the state. Widespread flooding from heavy rains closed roads in several counties, including Platte, Colfax, and Dodge. The Missouri river was reported over twenty-four feet on Monday, and is expected to crest around twenty-eight feet on Wednesday. Significant flooding also occurred in a number of park areas, including Freedom, Haworth, and Fontenelle Forest.
