GRAND ISLAND, Neb. -- Eight members of the Central District Health Department staff are in quarantine after being exposed to COVID-19.
CDHD Director Teresa Anderson says the individual who tested positive was vaccinated.
Several of the quarantining workers are also vaccinated but decided to still take the precautions.
The sample is being sent out for further testing to see if it is the Delta variant. Anderson says while the vaccine does help protect protect against the strain, there is still a chance people could catch it even after being fully vaccinated.
