SIDNEY, Iowa – A 21-year-old Hamburg man is charged with motor vehicle homicide after a fatal accident in Fremont County Friday morning.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office says Duane Stuck was the driver of a vehicle that was found partially submerged in the East Nishnabotna River west of Riverton. Rescue workers found Somia Moore, 29, and Jonathan Lee O’Hearn, 19, both of Hamburg deceased inside the vehicle.
A sheriff’s office press release says deputies were notified of a man who was taken to an area hospital by private vehicle had possibly been in an accident at an unknown location in Fremont County.
Deputies, along with Iowa DNR officers, Iowa State Patrol Troopers and an airplane with the Iowa State Patrol assisted in the search.
The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the accident.
