Grant money brings life-saving equipment to Madison County

MADISON, Neb. — The Madison County Sheriff’s Office received an AED grant from the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust this week.

The AEDs will be placed into the Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicles and in the Jail. The grant, facilitated through the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services, Division of Public Health, will fund devices to be placed in Madison Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicles. The project includes training.

“The Deputies and I know that every second counts when trying to save a life, and thankfully have seen AEDs and CPR work in the past. The addition of these life-saving tools to benefit our Service to Madison County is greatly appreciated”, stated Sheriff Todd Volk.
