GERING – The Gering firefighters that traveled to Santa Rosa, California to assist in fighting wildfires are reporting progress in their mission.
In a Facebook post from Sunday, the firefighters say that things are starting to slow down.
The department says they continue to do their assignments including back hauling, removing equipment.
California Incident Management Teams report no further growth of the Kincade fire.
They say that all firefighters are working hard 16-hour days.
