Fugitive chase ends in arrest in Scotts Bluff County

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) – The teamwork of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies led to an arrest of a fugitive on the run in Scotts Bluff County.

The U.S. Marshals District of Wyoming (USMDW) said 26-year-old suspect Brandon Jessiman was arrested Thursday.

He faces several charges including first degree sexual assault, kidnapping, and strangulation of a household member.

Authorities in Saratoga, Wyoming issued a warrant for the arrest of Jessiman on March 8. A joint investigation with the USMDW Fugitive Task Force in Cheyenne concluded Jessiman fled to Wyoming through Colorado and ended up in Western Nebraska.

USMDW said the Wyoming and Colorado Fugitive Task Force, Saratoga Police Department, Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office, and the Western Intelligence Narcotics (WING) Task Force teamed up in the joint investigation.

They located Jessiman and arrested him after a brief foot pursuit in Scotts Bluff County. He is in custody at the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center awaiting extradition back to Carbon County, Wyoming.

USMDW said other charges include two counts of aggravated assault and battery and three counts of domestic battery from incidents going back between Feb. 27, and March 5, 2021.
