Flash flood hits Panhandle

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. -- Heavy rain has blanketed parts of western Nebraska today.

A flash flood warning was in effect in Scotts Bluff County until 5:00 p.m. MT, with over an inch of rain falling per hour in the afternoon and additional rainfall expected.

Officials are reminding drivers to avoid flooded roads. Some streets have even been closed in parts of the Panhandle today.
