Five hospitalized in Stanton County accident

STANTON, Neb. — Five people were injured in a crash in Stanton County Thursday evening.

The accident happened around 7:00 p.m. at the junction of Highways 57 and 32 south of Stanton.

County authorities say a westbound pickup pulled into the path of a southbound SUV. Of the five people that were hospitalized, three were children. All five were expected to survive.

Authorities say seatbelts likely helped prevent the accident from being more serious than how it turned out.
