Firefighters make first day of school special, girls get fire truck escort

BATTLE CREEK, Neb. -- Fire and Rescue Crews went back to school Tuesday in northeast Nebraska.

Battle Creek Volunteer Fire and Rescue wanted to make the first day of school special for one of its member's children.

Trevor Dredla is stationed in Africa for a year. So, some of the volunteers decided to pick up his daughters in the fire truck and take them to their first day of school.

They shared the entire experience on Facebook.
