KEARNEY, Neb. -- A big fire east of Kearney is under investigation.
It started early Wednesday morning at an Aurora Cooperative fertilizer facility.
The Kearney Volunteer Fire Department was called to the scene on 39th Street just before 2:00 a.m.
According to the Kearney Hub, fire crews from Gibbon, Elm Creek and Pleasanton also responded to the scene.
Firefighters spent the morning going through the rubble and putting out hotspots.
The Nebraska Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause.
