OMAHA, Neb. -- Police say a fatal accident on I-80 has shut down eastbound lanes at 13th Street. I-80 is closed at the I-480 split.
The accident has already caused a major traffic jam in the area and is expected to get more congested with rush hour traffic.
Anyone traveling in the area is asked to find an alternative route. Police ask that drivers heading into Iowa use L St, or 480 into downtown.
The investigation is ongoing.
