FALLS CITY - The Falls City City Council has scheduled a special meeting for appointment of a city administrator.
An agenda notification says the city will consider appointment of Kevin Cluskey effective Aug. 14 and the retention of services of current clerk and administrator Gary Jorn.
The 5 p.m. meeting is scheduled at city hall on Monday, Aug. 9.
At is Aug. 2 meeting, the city council approved use of streets and parks for the Cobblestone Fun Run on Aug. 14 and the appointment of Mitchell Cheek as a police officer.
Police Chief Jamie Baker reported that he has been in discussion with Richardson County regarding dispatching services for the county.
Cluskey, worked as executive director of the Southeast District Health Department from 2014 to 2018, has most recently worked for Sunflower Health.
