Extension receives beetle reports

AUBURN – Nemaha County Extension is receiving reports of Japanese beetle infestations.

Extension educator Gary Lesoing said soybean producers have not needed to spray for the beetles in recent years.

In 2018, soybean growers had infestations in part of Cass County that required treatment.

In 2020, there were isolated reports of defoliation from thistle caterpillars, painted lady butterflies in larval stage.
