Driver hits fellow motorist in Lincoln with pepper spray

Police were investigating an incident in which a motorist on Lincoln’s main thoroughfare was hit with pepper spray.
Police said a 23-year-old man was heading west on O Street near 33rd Street about 1 a.m. Sunday when he spotted a red Ford Mustang driving erratically next to him. Police said the Mustang’s driver sprayed the other motorist with pepper spray while driving alongside him.
The victim reported experiencing a burning feeling, police said, and pulled his vehicle over. An officer saw redness on the victim’s face and could smell pepper spray, police said. Passengers in the victim’s vehicle wrote down the Mustang’s license plate number, police said.
