Douglas County seeking ideas from public for how to spend $110 million

OMAHA, Neb. -- Douglas County officials have a problem, the kind we’d all like to have: how to spend $110 million in federal funds.

The money is from the nearly $2 trillion American Rescue Plan, created to get the country back on its feet after the fallout from COVID-19.

Next Thursday evening from 6:30 until 8:00, the county is holding a live and virtual public hearing.

Officials are looking for any and all suggestions as to what to do with the money.
