A 24-year-old Denver man has been arrested in Lincoln after allegedly robbing a grocery store pharmacy of narcotics and then possibly overdosing.
Police said the Hy-Vee near 70th Street and Pioneers Boulevard was robbed about 12:40 p.m. Wednesday. Employees told police that an armed man passed a note to a pharmacy clerk asking for “Oxy’’ and Xanax. The man was given an undisclosed amount of narcotics and he left.
Later, police said, officers and rescue squad personnel were dispatched to a possible overdose near 56th Street and Yankee Hill Road. Police said they found the Denver man there, and he admitted that he robbed the Hy-Vee pharmacy.
Police said he agreed to a search of his vehicle, where officers found clothing that matched the description of the pharmacy robber.
