Creighton woman facing multiple drug charges after traffic stop

NORFOLK, Neb. -- A Wednesday night traffic stop in Norfolk led to the arrest of a Creighton woman on drug charges.

At 9:35 p.m., a patrolling Norfolk Police officer recognized 39-year-old Zolana Costello driving. The officer knew that her license was under suspension and made contact with her in the 1200 block of Koenigstein.

Costello was then arrested for driving under suspension. In a subsequent search of her purse and vehicle, officers recovered methamphetamine, fentanyl patches, prescription clonazepam pills, and glass smoking pipes, according to a press release issued by NPD.

Officers say Costello did not have a prescription for the patches nor the clonazepam and now faces three counts of possession of a controlled substance. She was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
