Court of Appeals upholds Harrison man’s prison sentence

HARRISON - A Harrison man will serve one year in prison after losing his appeal Tuesday.

The Court of Appeals upheld Sioux County District Court's decision to jail Justin Staudenmaier on terroristic threats charges.

Staudemaier was accused of firing a gun at a man working on a fence in Sioux County in 2019. He was convicted of a Class 3A felony.

According to his appeal, Staudemaier says the district court's decision to deny his motion for a new sentence was wrong. He also protested his sentence was excessive.
