Country duo LoCash set to open up the College World Series
LoCash
Country duo LoCash will headline the College World Series opening ceremonies on June 15.
With two top-10 country hits — “I Know Somebody” and “I Love This Life” — and a few tunes written for country stars Tim McGraw and Keith Urban, LoCash’s Chris Lucas and Preston Brush have skirted the line between country and pop and built a big fan base.
LoCash will perform at 9:30 p.m. at home plate at TD Ameritrade Park. Their performance will be followed by fireworks. Opening-day celebrations will start with open team practices at 9:10 a.m. Teams will sign autographs for 30 minutes after practices.
FanFest will be open outside the stadium at 11 a.m.
Teams will parade into the stadium at 8:30 p.m. and will be followed with opening ceremonies that include team introductions and the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team. The event is free and open to the public.
Originally known as the LoCash Cowboys, the duo performed at Ralston Arena last year.
The College World Series begins the next day, June 16, and runs through June 26 or 27.
