SIDNEY, NE - Another street project in Sidney is set to begin soon.
The city of Sidney is making street and water main improvements to Elm Street beginning Tuesday, June 1 at 7 a.m. The construction will stretch from 13th Avenue through 17th Avenue and access will be closed to all traffic during this time.
Construction will include the street, sidewalks, driveways, and a replacement of the water main. New water service lines will also be installed to the meter pit/curb stop, which will cause a short interruption of service. The contractor will contact each residence to schedule the water service replacement.
Residents trash collection may be modified due to the construction and are encouraged to contact Dean Sterling, Solid Waste Superintendent, at 308-254-6071 or via email at email@example.com.
The city of Sidney is asking residents have all vehicles, including trailers and recreational vehicles, removed from streets and driveways. Residents are also asked to mark sprinklers along the curb and sidewalk and any adjustments to sprinklers will be done by the contractor.
Residents in the right of way (ROW) are also asked to remove any decorative items from the lawn/landscape to prevent potential damage. The boulevard area in the ROW will be returned to its original condition.
Construction is estimated to be complete by Sept. 1, 2021.
