Central Nebraska standoff ends with 2 arrests

A standoff in Minden, Nebraska, ended with two arrests Wednesday afternoon.

It started when Nebraska State Patrol investigators learned that two suspects sought in connection with a home invasion robbery were inside a residence in Minden, a public information officer said in a news release. SWAT was called to the scene at 1 p.m. The suspects did not respond to several attempts to speak with them.

SWAT then utilized a police service dog and a robot before troopers entered the home. A short time later, a state patrol K-9 detected that someone was behind a closed bedroom door.

Brock Teel, 29, and Rylie Bryson, 18, were taken into custody without further incident at about 5 p.m.

Weapons and drug paraphernalia were found inside the residence. The investigation is ongoing.
