COLUMBUS, Neb. -- Columbus Community Hospital nurses Danielle Bayer and Katherine Sindelar are the recipients of scholarships from the Nebraska Hospital Association Research and Educational Foundation.
Bayer, a registered nurse in the acute care unit, was selected for a 2021 Graduate Studies Health Care Career Scholarship worth $3,000. The scholarship assists with tuition and educational expenses for students pursuing a graduate degree in health care.
“Danielle is a valuable member of our team, and her dedication to nursing is evident in her pursuit of continued education,” said Lisa Perrin, ACU director at CCH.
Sindelar is a registered nurse at home health and hospice. She received a 2021 Undergraduate Health Care Career Scholarship worth $1,500.
“Katherine is a caring and compassionate nurse who is an asset to our department,” said Jody Willison, director of home health and hospice. “She is committed to doing more to expand her knowledge of nursing.”
The scholarships are available to students employed by Nebraska Hospital Association members and enrolled in an accredited program to earn a bachelor’s degree, certification or registration in a health care career.
