WEEPING WATER, Neb. -- After another successful year of fundraising for cancer research, the Cattlemen's Ball is headed southeast.
Ball organizers say the 2022 event will be held at a farm outside Weeping Water next June.
The Rathe and Lubben families will be teaming up to host the event, with an estimated 700 volunteers on hand.
Organizers say they think there's the potential for a record-breaking year in 2022. They've set a goal to raise $2 million next year, which would be an all-time high.
The ball was held near Columbus earlier this month. Since its inaugural event, organizers say, the ball has been able to raise $15 million for the Buffett Cancer Center in Omaha.
