BUFFALO COUNTY, NE – A fourth Nebraskan has died from complications related to COVID-19.
The Two Rivers Public Health Department says in a news release that a man in his 90s passed away from the rapidly spreading virus. The man was from Buffalo County.
The Holdgrege-based health department did not release any more information.
The number of positive COVID-19 tests has jumped up again on Tuesday.
The Department of Health and Human Services lists Nebraska with 177 confirmed COVID-19 case as of 7:30 p.m., an increase of 22 since Monday night. The State has performed more than 3200 tests. That’s about a five percent positive rate.
Directed Health Measures have been expanded to 41 of Nebraska’s 93 counties as more health departments report community spread cases of COVID-19. The South Heartland District Health Department and the Two Rivers Public Health Department are now under DHMs. Those districts cover the Kearney and Hastings areas.
