Bridgeport’s Camp Clarke Days kicks off Thursday

BRIDGEPORT, NE — Bridgeport's annual heritage festival is back in 2021. 

After a one year pause due to COVID-19, Camp Clarke Days kicks off Thursday, June 3, and lasts through Sunday, June 6. The theme for this year's event is "All Roads Lead Home."

A hamburger feed at the Prairie Winds Community Center gets things underway at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. On Friday, there will be a performance of the Camp Clarke Play at Bridgeport High School. 

Saturday is Camp Clarke Days' main event with events going on throughout town. Notably, the Camp Clarke Parade gets underway at 11 a.m.

Other activities on Saturday include the alumni 5k fun run/walk, pancake feed, craft show, side walk chalk drawing, a book signing by Melissa Amateis various tournaments and races and the Platte Valley Bank Beef Cook Off.

The celebration comes to a close Sunday with the alumni potluck at noon at Bridgeport Elementary School and an encore showing of the Camp Clarke Play at 2 p.m.
