Blair man, woman arrested in connection with cutting, vehicle theft

A 35-year-old Blair man and a 32-year-old Blair woman were arrested Wednesday in connection with a cutting and a vehicle theft.
Blair police said officers learned that the theft occurred around 7:30 a.m. near Marina Drive and U.S. Highway 30 just west of the Missouri River. A 38-year-old Blair man told officers he was parked at the location when he was approached by the man and woman, who demanded his vehicle.
An altercation broke out and the vehicle’s owner suffered cuts to an arm, police said. The couple then fled in the 38-year-old man’s vehicle, police said.
About 90 minutes later, the vehicle was stopped by police in the 1000 block of South 19th Street in Blair. Police said the man and woman were arrested on suspicion of robbery, use of a weapon to commit a felony and second-degree assault.
