Bellevue police arrest 18-year-old in homicide case

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of Brian Faeller in Bellevue.

Dakota Pirruccello was found Wednesday night in Omaha and taken into custody without incident, said Lt. Andy Jashinske of the Bellevue Police Department. He also was booked into the Sarpy County Jail on suspicion of robbery and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

Faeller, 23, was fatally wounded in a shooting about 10 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Pheasant Ridge Apartments, located near 36th Street about a mile south of Nebraska Highway 370. He was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center in extremely critical condition and pronounced dead there.
