Authorities arrest Chadron woman for possession

     A Chadron woman is in jail after being arrested on drug charges following a search warrant raid on her home Wednesday night.

      The case began with Sgt Chesley Stolley and officer Derek Bauer investigating a report of a child abuse situation involving the use of illegal drugs at a Chadron residence 

      After he conducted interviews and gathered evidence, Officer Bauer was granted a search warrant for the residence.  

       Chadron officers, assisted by the Dawes County Sheriff’s Office and Nebraska State Patrol, served the warrant and found a woman and a juvenile inside.

      A search of the residence was conducted and officers seized suspected methamphetamine, prescription drugs, and drug paraphernalia including digital scales and glass pipes.

       26-year-old Mikela Miller was then arrested for 3 felonies – Possession of Meth, Possession of Prescription Medication without a Prescription, and Child Abuse – as well as 2 drug infractions. Miller’s bail is $10,000.
