BREAKING NEWS

PROGRAM ALERT

Alliance police investigating over 60 burglaries

ALLIANCE – Since February, Alliance police have investigated over 60 burglaries in town without ever identifying a suspect, the Alliance Police Department announced Wednesday in a plea for the public’s assistance.

For approximately three months, police have looked into thefts affecting dozens of Alliance residents, unable to identify a culprit. The Department says it is still following multiple leads but asks locals to be on the lookout.

Investigators say, in all instances, the perpetrator used force to enter each property often cutting locks off of storage units to break in.

In a news release, Alliance police cautioned the public to stay vigilant — lock doors on shops, sheds, garages, vehicles and homes. Residents were also encouraged to use security systems, lighting, and trail cams whenever possible.

Mostly, police urged the public to reach out if they notice any suspicious activity.
