NORFOLK -- A drought; a national shortage of supply deliveries; and new legislation on fireworks this year -- makes for a unique set-up to the Fourth of July.
We spoke with local vendors who said this year, customers will have new options to buy things like bottle rockets this year.
Co-owner of Fly-By-Night Kathy Sanders hopes that should boost local economies.
"You do not have to go to South Dakota or Missouri for those options," she said. "Support the local community."
As for the fireworks shortage, employee Sylvia Kasvser said it only affects some items.
"We definitely won't run out," Kasver said.
Nebraskans can start buying these blasters Thursday, June 24.
