55th Wing Air Show

BELLEVUE- Several jets are flying back home after showing off in front of over 100,000 people. Over the weekend the Offutt Air Force Base hosted the 55th Wing for their 2018 Defenders of Freedom Air and Space Show. Base personnel said that 150,000 visitors showed up to witness the action. The event was headlined by the F-22 and F-35 with separate performances and then joined formation with a P-38 to show over 70 years of aviation history. 55th Wing Public Affairs official Drew Nystrom said that the first day was a huge success. Other performances included the Mig-17 from the Vietnam war and aerobatics from Scott Francis and his MXS. Air show director Hunter Horste said that it was great to invite everybody back on the base and to showcase what we have here.
